Connect the Box MCP server with OpenAI AgentKit to enable your users to connect to Box from OpenAI AgentKit.

Enable Box integration in Box

Admin
  1. Sign in to the Box Admin Console.
  2. Go to Integrations and find ChatGPT - MCP either by using the MCP Category filter, or by using the search bar at the top of the page.
  3. Ensure the ChatGPT - MCP is enabled for your enterprise by setting the Availability status to Available to all users.

Use the integration in agent builder

User
  1. In each Agent that requires Box MCP, click the + button in the Tools section.
  2. Select MCP.
  3. Look for the Box MCP.
  4. Enter your Box Access token and connect.
